2/22 It's been a while since I wrote a news update. It's been a busy few months with getting married, settling into a new place, and teaching a ton of lessons. I'm happy to report that gigs are really picking up again. The Dan Smyth Trio is playing all over town and sounds tighter than ever, come check out one of our next shows and request some tunes for our ever-expanding songlist. Also, there are several Brad Kelsey Band gigs at a great venue, the Dupont Bar & Grill, over the next several months. Lots of fun coming up. See you at a show soon!
10/17 This Sunday I'll be playing with the Brad Kelsey Band at the Slippery Noodle in Indy for the Crossroads Blues Challenge! Also, next Saturday I'll be at Dave's Lake Shack with the Dan Smyth Trio. Check back on the schedule for more fun in the future!
9/23 It's been a while since the last update. It was a slower summer for gigs, but a busy one planning for my wedding. Some new things on the horizon now: Brad Kelsey Band upcoming gigs at the Dupont Bar & Grill, and I also have some new solo acoustic gigs in the works. The Brad Kelsey Band will also be performing in a battle of the bands at the legendary Slippery Noodle in Indy. That will be a lot of fun, we don't have our performance time yet, but keep an eye out for that. Also, some new great photos of the Dan Smyth Trio are on the way.
5/22 Some new updates: Brad Kelsey & Triple Tornado has now been renamed simply The Brad Kelsey Band. We have 2 fun shows coming up June 6 at Canal Days, and June 19 at Ribfest. Looking forward to a great start to the summer.
5/20 Triple Tornado is back with a new lineup and a new name, the Brad Kelsey Band. I'm excited to be working with our new bassist, Kent Snyder, and guest keyboardist, Daniel Fisher. Both of these guys are great musicians and a LOT to the sound. We are now confirmed to play New Haven's Canal Days Festival and there are more shows in the works. Make sure you catch this band sometime this summer.
5/5 Nice weather is here, and the Corner Pocket gigs are coming! Make sure you come out this Friday and enjoy the Dan Smyth Trio on the biggest and best outdoor patio in town (bring a sweatshirt just in case it's chilly.)

3/18 We have been confirmed for a series of performance/workshops in the Allen County Public Libraries this June. The theme is "Get Creative." Also, some new things on the horizon for Brad Kelsey & Triple Tornado, keep an eye out for new dates.
2/21 I had a great time last night at the NIPR Jazzfest with the Mick Colacuori Quartet. We had a blast playing and hearing all the other great musicians. The recordings from our set are now posed in the audio section.
1/30 There are a couple of new original tracks up from the Mick Colacuori Quartet, they are a little rough, but a decent representation of the songs. Keep an eye out for more recordings from this band in the coming months. We will be playing at Bill's City Grill and NIPR Jazzfest in February, so check one if these out if you can.
1/12 As all good things must come to an end, our residency at Kahunaz bar in Crazy Pinz has ended as of last Friday. We had a great year playing there and I would like to thank all the people involved that made this great opportunity possible. There is a little regrouping ahead for me right now, but look for more action in the future for The Following, The Dan Smyth Trio, and The Big Mick Orchestra.

10/7 Videos are now up from The Rewinders gig at Mad Anthony last weekend.
10/6 The Rewinders show went so well Saturday, we will be playing at Mad Anthony in November and December as well. Check out the new shirts, they look great. Remember to come out to Buckets and hear The Grift, an amazing Vermont rock band, later this month.
10/1 Can't believe October is already here. There are a couple gigs this month not to miss. The Rewinders will be playing a final show before taking a break till the spring. Also, I will be playing with The Grift, from Vermont, at Buckets. All the info is on the gigs page. Both shows are free, so check it out!
9/17 Good news about our regular Crazy Pinz gig. In addition to performing every Friday, we will be there every Saturday. We are in the upstairs bar, Kahunaz. It is a great atmosphere to come up and relax. Come check it out.
9/9 I decided to revamp some of my webpage. The photo section is now divided between the different bands I work with. Also, I added this news page.
